When home care
isn't enough
Even with regular brushing and good oral hygiene at home, plaque gradually builds up on the surface of the teeth. It consists of bacteria and their by-products, food particles, and proteins from saliva. Over time, pigments from food and beverages can accumulate in the plaque, causing the teeth to appear darker. If soft plaque is not removed in time, it gradually hardens and mineralizes, turning into tartar (calculus). Once formed, tartar cannot be removed at home with a regular toothbrush and toothpaste.
Professional dental hygiene removes both soft plaque and hardened deposits, helping to maintain healthy teeth and gums, freshen breath, and restore the teeth's natural shade.

Why professional dental
hygiene matters:
-
Plaque and tartar
They create an environment where bacteria can thrive and may contribute to the development of tooth decay and gum disease.
-
Fresher breath
A buildup of bacteria and dental deposits can be one of the causes of bad breath.
-
Healthy gums
Plaque and tartar irritate the gum tissue and can lead to inflammation. Regular professional hygiene helps maintain healthy gums and reduce the risk of gingivitis and periodontitis.
-
Natural tooth shade
Coffee, tea, wine, tobacco, and other foods and beverages can leave behind pigmented deposits.
Professional dental hygiene
with
AIRFLOW Prophylaxis Master
At AESTHETE, professional dental hygiene is performed using AIRFLOW Prophylaxis Master, an advanced system designed to remove soft and hard deposits as well as tooth staining. The ultrasonic settings can be adjusted to suit each patient's individual sensitivity, while heated water helps make the procedure more comfortable. A specially formulated powder with rounded particles gently removes surface staining without damaging the tooth surface. Depending on the condition of the teeth, additional polishing may not be necessary, and the entire procedure takes approximately 40 minutes.

Your path to a dream smile
begins now:
Step One.
Examination.
The dentist examines your teeth and gums, assesses the overall condition of your oral cavity, and determines the appropriate scope of treatment.
Step Two.
Preparation.
The teeth are isolated to ensure comfort and safety during the procedure. If you have increased sensitivity, the dentist may use local anaesthesia.
Step Three.
Professional Dental Hygiene.
The dentist removes soft plaque, surface staining, and hardened dental deposits using the most appropriate technique. At AESTHETE, AIRFLOW Prophylaxis Master is used.
Step Four.
Finishing.
After the hygiene procedure, the dentist checks the result and performs polishing if necessary. A remineralising or enamel-strengthening treatment may also be applied at the end of the procedure.
What you should know about
professional dental hygiene
On average, professional dental hygiene is recommended twice a year. However, patients with braces, crowded teeth, or periodontal disease may require more frequent appointments.
Professional dental hygiene is particularly important before implant placement, prosthetic treatment, and orthodontic treatment. Before the procedure, the dentist assesses the condition of the teeth and gums and, if necessary, selects the most appropriate technique. Temporary tooth sensitivity or minor gum bleeding may occur after the procedure, especially when inflammation is present. To maintain the results, it is important to continue with daily oral care: brush your teeth twice a day and clean between your teeth regularly.
